The Cherokee Nation Language Department has developed a ground-breaking searchable dictionary app. This is the first Indigenous dictionary app to integrate advanced technologies for an immersive language learning experience.

The Cherokee Primer (1840 Edition) has been translated for the first time by Ed Fields, Mary Rae, Patrick Del Percio, and Eva Garroutte. The translators have included all twenty lesson stories which were used to teach Cherokee children to read syllabary. The translation is availble as a 5 x 7 pdf at no cost. See below for a print-friendly version.
